About
Dr. Ameni Mkaouar received the engineering degree in telecommunication from the National School of Electronics and telecommunication of Sfax, Sfax, Tunisia, in 2017 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer systems engineering from the National Engineering School of Sfax, Sfax, Tunisia in 2022. In 2023, Dr. Mkaouar started her career as a Research Postdoctoral Associate with GESTAR II, UMBC, based at NASA GSFC.
Research interests
Her research interest focuses on remote sensing, image processing, and LiDAR data processing, with a particular emphasis on 3D radiative transfer modeling for image and LiDAR data simulation to estimate vegetation structure.
