About
My name is Bivash Kaity, and I am currently working as a Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of biological sciences, University of Maryland Baltimore County. Here I am working on computational biology to advance our understanding for various biological phenomena. I completed my PhD in physics in 2021 from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India.
Research interests
As a theoretical physicist by training, my primary aim is to develop a theoretical model using the tools of statistical mechanics, applied mathematics, and computer simulation which advance our understanding of known biological phenomena. Currently, I am interested to develop mathematical modelling to elucidate the dynamic of tissue formation using lattice free agent based modelling approach.
