About
Dr. Daeho Jin is a scientist who has been working with Dr. Lazaros Oreopolous at the Climate and Radiation Laboratory (Code 613) at NASA/GSFC since September 2013. He received his B.Sc. in Atmospheric Science from Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea in February 2003, and his Ph.D. in Climate Dynamics from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA in May 2008.
Dr. Jin has examined climate variability including ENSO, MJO, and Monsoon, as well as the effect of air-sea coupling on the climate system. He has also been involved in Marine Bio-Physical Interaction associated with MJO. In recent years, he has been investigating synoptic to global scale climate via cloud and precipitation regimes.
Research interests
The relationship between cloud and precipitation, and its effect on the variability of synoptic to climate scales, mainly with satellite observation datasets.
