About
Dr. Park is a scientist at the Goddard Planetary Heliophysics Institute (GPHI) contracted to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), specializing in the heliosheath and the very local interstellar medium. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of New Hampshire (2016), preceded by a MS in Physics from Central Michigan University (2010) and a BA in Physics from Chung-Ang University (2004). His doctoral research focused on “Investigating the interstellar and heliospheric heavy neutral atoms with IBEX-Lo.” Dr. Park’s expertise includes simulating and analyzing energetic neutral atom (ENA) fluxes from various plasma environments using Interstellar Boundary Explorer (IBEX) data, as well as extensive experience with Voyager magnetic field data. He has served as a science co-investigator for the Voyager Magnetometer team since 2016 and has contributed to over 20 scientific publications. Dr. Park is a member of the American Geophysical Union and a referee for several journals.
