About
Josh Fuhrman completed his Ph.D. at Northwestern University. His thesis work covers the second flight of the Micro-X sounding rocket. He joined the CRESST II group at University of Maryland to work with the x-ray microcalorimeter group at Goddard Space Flight Center. His work there focuses on ESA’s Athena mission and the LEM x-ray probe proposal. Previously he earned his bachelors degree in both physics and mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Research interests
Transition Edge Sensors, Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices, cryogenic detectors for experimental astrophysics applications.
