About
Shin Yon Kim is currently lecturer at the Department of Asian Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She teaches a diverse range of courses in the field of Asian Studies, Korean politics, and international relations. Her research focuses on the intersection of comparative foreign policy and political psychology. Her work on personality and foreign decision-making, specifically a case study of South Korea, is set to be published in Pacific Affairs in September 2023. Currently, she is engaged in writing her manuscript on North Korean leadership and foreign policy.
