Alumni Membership Card: Your alumni membership grants access to campus facilities such as the Albin O. Kuhn Library. UMBC also offers alumni discounts at the Retriever Athletic Center (RAC) and select ticketed campus events.

Library: Alumni have access to borrow books from the Albin O. Kuhn Library. Alumni must have an alumni card to be eligible for privileges. Old student IDs are not valid for library use after graduation. Alumni may have a maximum of 25 items charged out at a time with a limit of 2 renewal. For additional information, please contact the AOK Circulation Department.

Career Services: As a UMBC graduate, you remain an essential part of our Retriever community. The UMBC Career Center is here to support your career development and hiring needs, whether you’re navigating a job search, making a career change, or looking to hire top talent. Please visit the Career Center’s website to view all available services. 

Discounts: Being a UMBC alum comes with benefits, like discounts on insurance, graduate school scholarships, professional training discounts, and access to programs like the UMBC Retrievers Kids Club and Summer Day Camp.

Spiritwear: Want to flaunt your spirit? Everyone looks great in black and gold. The UMBC Bookstore has a huge inventory of UMBC merch, and a special collection just for alumni.

Records: Alumni can request a copy of their official transcript or diploma through Parchment. For additional information, please contact the Registrar’s Office

Admissions Referrals: Alumni who donate to UMBC have the chance to jump-start two students’ entry to UMBC through the Alumni Admissions Referral Program. All alumni donors of the last year will be mailed two vouchers that waive the $75 admissions application fee, to share with qualified degree-seeking applicants. Questions? Fitness: UMBC Recreation offers a discounted rate to all alumni who want to use the facilities at the Retriever Activities Center (RAC). Amenities include exercise equipment, weight room, indoor track, pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, locker rooms, and group fitness classes.

License Plates: Life is a highway. Ride it your way with a newly redesigned UMBC license plate. The Alumni Association offers UMBC license plates from the MVA to Maryland residents for $35. Each sale brings in $5 for the association’s programs for all alumni. To obtain a UMBC license plate, you will need to download the application and follow the instructions included.

 We are not able to assign specific tag numbers, you will receive the next sequential tag number assigned by the MVA.
