Alumni Award Nomination Form
Each year, the UMBC Alumni Association Board of Directors honors a select group of alumni for their professional and personal achievements and service to the university. The board also honors a faculty member for extraordinary teaching and overall impact on students and alumni. Staff and administration are also eligible for an award to honor extraordinary contributions as demonstrated by their significant direct or indirect impact on students and/or alumni.
Five types of awards are given: the Outstanding Alumni of the Year Awards, the Distinguished Service Award, the Rising Star Award, the Outstanding Faculty Award, and the Outstanding Staff Award. Please review the award criteria prior to submission.
Note: Current members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, past recipients of an alumni award, and volunteer leaders in any active alumni group are not eligible for an award.
Awardees are honored at a special ceremony held annually. Learn more about previous award winners.
